Launched in 2010 by Drew Wilkes—who trained at Fishers Hairdressing Group (1990) and holds L'Oreal and Wella diplomas—UK Barbershops on Union Street in Maidstone offers a clean, airy, cross-demographic barber environment with a 60s 'MOD' aesthetic and contemporary twist. Drew and his team provide classic cuts (bald fades, flat tops, crew cuts) and modern styles including hair graffiti, with complimentary tea and coffee, a lollipop tradition for children, daily papers, WiFi, TV and a curated 'The Barbers Choice' playlist; the shop was featured in GQ (Sept 2012) and sponsors Maidstone United.
